Qauder Molla not hanged for being pro-Pakistan

In 1947, Pakistan’s two parts were separated by over a thousand miles. The four provincial languages in the West did not know the language of the East, and so Urdu was made the language which linked.

A few months after Partition, he said, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah addressed a group of students at the Dhaka University, and stated that whoever was against the Urdu was an enemy of Pakistan.

Then a movement for the revival of the Bengali language led by students began. Many students were killed fighting for the cause.
